This past week has been absolutely AMAZING! Jesus placed 2 men in front of us, Ed and Pat. Ed passed out on our sidewalk as we were pulling up. Josh talked to him and then picked him up and walked him down the street where is he was staying. Ed was very drunk and very strung out on speed. He was hallucinating big time. As Josh was holding Ed and walking him home, he told him that he was his friend. Ed couldn't believe that Josh said he was a friend~Ed started to cry. Josh just held him and spoke about Jesus's love. Ed told Josh that he could show him power and things he has not seen, and Josh told Ed that he could show him the Love of Jesus! At this Ed just cried and kissed Josh and was punching him. We gave Ed a blanket and Josh wrapped him up and made sure that he was safe as he passed out. We prayed revelation of Jesus as he slept. The last thing he told Josh was thank you for warmth.
Pat came to our apartments the following day as we were leaving to go on a Starbucks date. He was in our dumpster and looking for cans. I saw him and told him that we had 2 large bags of cans and that we wanted to give them to him. Pat told us that his daughter and 2 grandkids, 2 and 7 and were stuck in the K-mart parking lot and that they ran out of battery trying to keep warm. As he started to walk away we both realized that he couldn't really even walk with the 4 bags he now had. So Josh got in his truck and gave him a ride to turn them in. They totaled $22 dollars. As Josh dropped him off, Jesus told us to give some money, so Josh went to the bank and as he called me to ask if we could give Jesus confirmed the amount to me by an item I was buying =) Jesus is so Amazing! I love how He speaks!!! I asked Josh if he could go get them a warm drink as he went to go pick up Pat. So Josh gave him a ride back to his van and jumped it. Pat told us that just before he went to search for cans that he was asking Jesus for a big bag of cans =) It makes me cry thinking about just how much Jesus loves us and provides for us. As I was at Winco Jesus reminded me of Matthew 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
I totally lossed it in Winco, I couldn't hold back the tears. I really knew that we blessed Jesus and that we had made His heart happy, because our hearts were overwhelmed with Joy and Praise!
Love you guys, be super Blessed! Let's forcefully advance the Kingdom around us! You need not be in Africa to love =)
